The Cove. Five minutes drive from Trerose, an award winning restaurant overlooking the Maenporth Cove, serving an excellent selection of sea foods and other delectable dishes.

Hooked on the Rocks. Ten minutes drive from Trerose with stunning views across Falmouth Bay to St. Anthony’s Head and offering a variety of seafood specialities from Mediterranean to Cornish dishes.

The Ferryboat Inn. Eight minutes drive from Trerose, or 40 minutes walk along the river. Overlooking the water at Helford Passage, The Ferryboat is an excellent location from which to watch all the comings and goings on the river.

Casa Juan. Spanish cuisine situated right at the centre of Mawnan Smith village, just a few minutes drive or reasonable walk away.

Trengilly Wartha. Fifteen minutes drive from Trerose, Trengilly is a wonderful old pub tucked away in the countryside. A popular meeting place for locals with a terrific atmosphere and a roaring fire in winter, guests can enjoy quality bar food or dinner in the restaurant.

Castaways, Mylor Harbour. Twenty minutes drive from Trerose. Castaways is a perfect location for a relaxed evening or lunch, guests can select from a full menu or enjoy simple tapas with a glass of wine. An exceptional location overlooking Mylor Harbour, Castaways offers an entertaining opportunity to wander round the harbour and see all the boats.

The Pandora Inn. Twenty minutes drive from Trerose, set in the stunning location on Restronguet Creek and may be approached by water as well as road. A wide range of choice from club sandwiches to a three course dinner can be enjoyed inside or out depending on the weather; the accent is on seafood, locally caught.

The Halzephron Inn. A meal at the Halzephron can be enjoyed in conjunction with a spectacular walk on the coastal path on the Lizard peninsular. An award winning pub which prides itself in the preparation of fresh homemade food and a daily change of menu.

The Ship Inn, Mawgan. About half an hour’s drive away, this is a friendly family-run pub with an interesting menu choice and delicious dishes. Extremely good value.

New Yard Restaurant. Half an hour’s drive. Situated on the Trelowarren Estate serving Helford River oysters, locally caught fish and game from the Estate, this AA award-winning restaurant is worth a visit.

Porthminster Beach Cafe, St Ives. Multi award winning seafood restaurant with unbeatable & uninterrupted views across St Ives Bay – on a Summer’s day you could be in the Mediterranean!

Further afield, Cornwall is also boasts some of the most celebrated places to dine in Europe. The north coast fishing port of Padstow is the home of Rick Stein’s famous seafood restaurant, while Jamie Oliver’s Fifteen can be found at Watergate Bay, near Newquay. And both Falmouth and Truro offer numerous dining options for both daytime and evening.
