Trerose Manor, once the property of the infamous Killigrew seafarers, has been the family home of Piers and Tessa Phipps for the past 30 years. Today it offers three guest rooms for those wishing to stay somewhere special in one of Britain's most beautiful areas.

Grade-II listed, Trerose is an ideal place to stay for anyone seeking to explore this peaceful part of Cornwall. Not only are there excellent walking routes and spectacular coastal views on the doorstep, but the village of Mawnan Smith is also home to some of the country's most celebrated gardens, including Glendurgan and Trebah, each offering a wealth of rare and tender plants in stunning settings above the Helford.

For those with artistic tastes, Trerose also provides an ideal base from which to visit The Tate, Hepworth and Leach Galleries in St. Ives, The Penlee Gallery in Penzance and the National Trust properties of St. Michael's Mount, Trerice and Godolphin.

For horticultural enthusiasts, the magnificent gardens at Trelissick, Bonython and Heligan, and the Chelsea award-winning nurseries of Burncoose and Trevena Cross are easily reachable by car.

Whilst Trerose is pleasantly 'off the beaten track' and surrounded by glorious countryside, many of Cornwall's finest award-winning restaurants are only a short driving distance away.

Whatever the reason for your visit, whether it be a base to discover the best that Cornwall has to offer or simply to relax and unwind, we will endeavour to do all that we can to make your stay with us as enjoyable as possible, so that you return home feeling refreshed and restored.

The house and its gardens are also available for special occasions, including small corporate events and wedding receptions; the delightful 13th century Mawnan Church is only a short walk away.

We also enjoy welcoming overseas visitors; German, French and Italian are all spoken.
